Thai massage involves a combination of massage and manipulation. It was developed in Thailand, heavily influenced by the traditional medicine systems of India and China, as well as by yoga.

Unlike deep-tissue or relaxation massage, recipients of Thai massage wear loose, comfortable clothing while their therapist positions the body in various yoga-like positions. Deep static and rhythmic pressures form the core of the massage, and involves deep pressure and assisted stretching.

Unlike therapeutic or relaxation massage, which can leave you somewhat drowsy, Thai massage relaxes and invigorates your body.
